Diagnostic Scan and Code Readers are indispensable in the diagnosis of today’s modern vehicles, without them no proper repair job is possible. The Engine Control Computer, The Transmission Control Computer and any other Computers mounted on-board the vehicle constantly monitor their input sensors for actual real time events occurring in the various systems.
The onboard computers can process these signals and deliver output signals to actuators such as Injectors, ignition systems, idle speed actuators, emission control etc. The Computers can detect defective or abnormal performances by sensors, other input and output devices and store trouble codes in its memory.
It’s the starting point for all vehicle diagnosis. To get this information, Read DTC, Erase DTC (turn off the MIL), Live Data, Freeze Frame, I/M Readiness, MIL Status, and Vehicle Information, you need a Diagnostic Scanner or a Code Reader. Absolutely!
